Seeking the honor and praises of men? :

When you are invited to an event, do not take/seek the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been also invited to the same event. If so, the host who invited both of you will come to you and will say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Humiliated, embarrassed and filled with shame, then you will have to take whatever seat is left.

Comparing our life to the Parable of Sower… :

As described by Jesus, we will definitely fall into one of the four categories of people who are mentioned in the Parable of Sower. One way to cross check whether we are in the right path with our God or not is to check / compare ourselves with those people mentioned. The realization of being in which group will help us to rectify ourselves if we are not in the right path before it is too late.

Gateway of our Body :

Jesus said: “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is good, your whole body is filled with light. But when it is bad, your body is filled with darkness. Make sure that the light you think you have is not actually darkness”.

Only the eye provides all the visible information for the brain to process, visualize and imagine things, which is then transferred to every cell in the body. Our body cells are then driven by that imagination to lust, desire and do all sorts of sinful conduct.
