Seeking the honor and praises of men?

When you are invited to an event, do not take/seek the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been also invited to the same event. If so, the host who invited both of you will come to you and will say, ‘Give this person your seat.’ Humiliated, embarrassed and filled with shame, then you will have to take whatever seat is left.

Instead, not seeking the honor, take the least important place. Then when your host sees you, he will come and say, ‘Friend, we have a better place for you!’ Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests.

For all those who exalt themselves will be put to shame, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

- as said by Jesus Christ.

Similar it will be in the day of Judgment. People who boast themselves here in earth that they have done many great things seeking the praises of men, will be put to shame before the God. But the people who silently does the great will of God and please Him in earth will be exalted before Him.

So do not worry, if you are not getting recognized. Make sure that you are doing God’s will and surely the Heavenly Father will reward you openly.
